Born and raised in Southern California, Erik Casillas learned early on how to entertain himself, and others, with the things that came out of his pencil. Drawing was not only a way to pass the time and avoid schoolwork, most importantly, it was a great way to get attention.
In addition to the 20 years he spent rising to the top spot in the No Fear sportswear art department, Erik has also designed across all areas of popular culture. In the world of sports, he’s created logos for the Daytona 500, Penske Motorsports, Arena Football and the Major League Baseball Players Association. In music, he’s designed album
covers for Motley Crue, loads of concert posters for Live Nation, and concert merch for Kid Rock, Dixie Chicks, Britney Spears and Faith Hill. Mixed in with all of that, he’s designed about a million other things too, from skateboards to beer labels to birthday invitations
for his three sons.
He presently lives in Vista, California with his wife, Dawn and their 5 year old son Cash, while his other two “babies” Adam (25) and Jake (22) are carving a life out for themselves in the big wide world.
His interests include lowbrow art, video games, writing, concerts, concerts and more concerts. Yet at the end of the day, he finds nothing more enjoyable than putting an indigo pencil to paper and drawing something.
He is also Batman. Shhhhhhhhh.
